ONICON Celebrates 35 Years

ONICON has been delivering market leading flow and energy measurement products since 1987. For 35 years they have been exclusively focused on delivering quality engineered flow and energy measurement instruments for hydronic heating and cooling systems.

ONICON has come a long way since its flagship turbine flow meter. Today, ONICON offers a full line of inline, insertion, and clamp-on-style flow meters for HVAC applications. Its flow meter technologies include electromagnetic, turbine, ultrasonic, thermal dispersion, and vortex shedding, and it also offers BTU meters that integrate a variety of flow technologies to suit customers’ unique needs. ONICON products are used throughout all hydronic, steam, and gas HVAC applications as well as domestic water and some process applications.

Can your Choice of Damper Blade Configuration Affect your System Efficiency?

You bet it can. When it comes to dampers, your choice of blade operation (Parallel vs Opposed blade configuration) can have a significant impact on how effectively and efficiently your system will function.

TAMCO’s Director of Engineering, Dane Carey, has authored a white paper addressing the pros and cons of parallel blade and opposed blade configuration.  This paper also addresses when one type of configuration is recommended over the other.
